| Often,
visitors to the Caribbean are uncertain as to exactly what they should
take along with them to their tropical vacation destination.
Most seasoned travelers to the islands heartily recommend that a person
pack anything and everything that they think they might possibly need --
and then take half of the items out of their luggage and leave those at
home! This is usually sound advice, in that the climate during much
of the year it is hot and humid, and many of the items that would be needed
elsewhere, aren't necessary on the islands.
NOTE: Your baggage will be weighed at the TimAir check in counter for the aircraft weight and balance computation, to ensure that the aircraft is safely loaded for flight. You should try and keep overall baggage weight down to a minimum. Below is a check list that you can use to remind yourself what you may want to take -- not necessarily what you will need. This list is not all encompassing, but it can be a help in remembering things not to forget. You can print out this page directly and use it to check off the items as you pack them in your luggage. You also might try doing what has been found to work well for some people. As you think of something that you want to take along with you on your trip, get it right then and put it somewhere with all the other items you plan to pack. (Consider using a spare bedroom as a place to assemble everything you plan to take with you.) Continue gathering things as you think of them.
